Bruce Tecklenburg

Former Marketing Manager, Boeing

Board of Directors

This country’s national parks have influenced me from early childhood.  Washington’s national parks are amazing treasures, and it is very important to give back to the parks for all the joy they have given to us.

Bruce serves as Co-Chair of the Campaign Steering Committee.

Bruce’s professional career spanned more than thirty years all in the aviation sector. He worked for Horizon Air, Alaska Airlines, Mead & Hunt Consulting and Boeing all in commercial planning, marketing and management roles. Bruce has a degree in geography of trade and transportation with an economics emphasis from the University of Washington.

While growing up in Ohio, Bruce got a passion for the National Parks at a very early age with regular family hiking trips to Mount Rainier, Rocky Mountain and Great Smoky Mountains National Parks. Bruce moved to the Seattle area to attend university, which helped to reaffirm a commitment to the National Parks while living in such a great outdoor environment. Today, that passion continues as both Bruce and his wife, Dawn, are active supporting philanthropic efforts at Washington’s National Park Fund. Bruce brings his professional experience together with his philanthropic experience to help Washington’s National Park Fund to continue to grow and to support our three amazing National Parks. Bruce and Dawn enjoy traveling to our National Parks and they want to visit all of the parks in the system. They are avid hikers and skiers and enjoy the outdoors as often as they can.
