One touch of Nature makes the whole World kin.– Ulysses
Having grown up in southern California spending countless hours at the beach swimming, surfing, and playing beach volleyball, Victoria moved to the great Northwest (Seattle) in 1992 after finishing her clinical training at UCLA. She was immediately awestruck by the gorgeous green landscape, lakes, and mountains everywhere you looked, and learned to hike, ski, backpack, and camp in the rain and snow.
“The national parks continue to thrill and humble me every single time I visit any of the parks,” she says. “Mount Rainier is a spiritual experience, Olympic National Park is a constant backpacking challenge, and the North Cascades leaves endless trails yet to be walked and revered.”
Victoria has always tried to put energy into issues she is passionate about at both the local and national level. She believes that now more then ever it is important to work on behalf of Washington’s three national parks to preserve them, support them, and help them to thrive for all to experience and enjoy.
