For more than two decades, glass artist Robert Bank has been working with glass and turning it into stunning works of wearable art. What began as a spark of curiosity at a Renaissance Fair in Bristol, Wisconsin, soon led him on a creative path, or more fittingly a creative trail, fueled by passion, purpose, and a deep love for nature.
Today, Robert and his wife, Kellie, have molded philanthropy into their family and work, creating handcrafted functional glass that gives back to the causes they care about most. One of their newest creations, the “Leaf No Trace” necklace, is a tribute to the outdoors and a way to support Washington’s national parks through a new partnership with Washington’s National Park Fund (WNPF).
“We were inspired to partner with WNPF simply because we love our national parks and wanted to help in some way,” Robert shared.
Each “Leaf No Trace” necklace is handmade in the U.S., strung on organic hemp cord, and completely one-of-a-kind. A portion of the proceeds from each necklace sold supports priority projects at Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks.
The name is a play on the “Leave No Trace” ethics and serves as a reminder that art can inspire action. Visit this backcountry beginners blog to learn about LNT!
Robert and his family spend time in the parks year-round: hiking, biking, and taking in the beauty of our wonderful state. While it’s hard for him to choose a single memory, he hopes this collaboration helps others connect with the outdoors in their own way and make unforgettable memories for years to come.
“We should all help in taking care of them,” he said. “It’s more important than ever to teach this generation and future generations the importance of working together as a community and taking care of our land.”
We’re grateful for this unique partnership with Robert Bank Glass and we encourage you to check out his website to see his work! By partnering with local and mission-driven businesses, we’re able to further our work in Washington’s national parks. Visit this page to learn about our partners!

Washington’s National Park Fund is the official philanthropic partner to Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks. With your help, we raise private support to preserve and protect Washington’s national parks, funding scientific research, youth programs, and projects that will keep these parks strong and vital now and forever, for everyone.
