In the heart of Washington, a state that’s towered by majestic peaks, Rainier Watch stands tall as more than just an apparel brand. Born from a love for the mountains and a deep appreciation for the Pacific Northwest’s rugged beauty, Rainier Watch (RW) has become synonymous with quality and a commitment to nature. At the end of 2023, WNPF and RW launched the For The Parks pom beanie that not only keeps you warm in the chill of the mountains but also warms your heart by supporting the state’s national parks through Washington’s National Park Fund.

“This beanie is a very special collaboration for me. I worked hand in hand with the team at Washington’s National Park Fund to bring it to life and couldn’t be happier with the result! I hope you love it as much as I do!

-David Lindahl, Rainier Watch founder and owner

David Lindahl is the founder of Rainier Watch and wears every single possible hat (including this beanie) that you can imagine in running a small business. David has grown Rainier Watch from a Twitter page to what is now a strong brand presence in the mountain-loving community. Rainier Watch’s products reflects a love for Washington’s national parks through mountain-themed designs and familiar sayings like “The Mountain is Out” and “The Mountains are for Everyone.” Although, it’s not just about creating comfortable and eco-friendly clothing; it’s about giving back to the very landscapes that inspire their designs.

Behind the Design of the Beanie

With this beanie, national parks will quite literally be top of mind for anyone who buys it. Rainier Watch has chosen to donate $8 from each retail purchase of the beanie directly to Washington’s National Park Fund to help fund projects in the parks that will keep them vibrant and thriving for years to come. Crafted and designed with the utmost care and attention to detail, this beanie showcases the brand’s dedication to supporting the environment. WNPF’s signature motto, For The Parks, is prominently featured, along with three pine trees that represent the parks the beanie directly supports: Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks.

A Shared Love For The Parks

For the last few years, David has been a champion and strong advocate for the parks through his work at Rainier Watch. Washington’s National Park Fund could not be more grateful for the support he has provided from constantly spreading the word about our work, donating a percentage of sales, posting funny memes with us, and now collaborating on this beanie.

Rainier Watch’s collaboration beanie is more than just an accessory; it’s a symbol of shared values and a commitment to preserving the awe-inspiring landscapes that define the Pacific Northwest. As you don the beanie and embark on your next adventure, know that you’re not just keeping warm – you’re contributing to the efforts that happen behind the scenes that ensure Washington’s national parks continue to ignite a deep sense of wonder and awe in the hearts of all who experience them.

Washington’s National Park Fund is the official philanthropic partner to Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks. With your help, we raise private support to preserve and protect Washington’s national parks, funding scientific research, youth and family experiences, and projects that will keep these parks strong and vital now and forever, for everyone. We are proud to partner with companies like Rainier Watch. You can learn more about their work at https://shop.rainierwatch.com/pages/about.
