Vineet Parkhe

Principal Engineer, DNV GL

Board of Directors

Vineet was born in Delhi, India back when it was a small town of just around seven million people and equally enjoyed his time in the city and family trips to the foothills of the Himalayas. During graduate school in the US, he got involved in climbing and backpacking and made dozens of trips to climb in the New and Red River Gorges in West Virginia and Kentucky where he discovered the value of public lands. Specifically, he learned how protected areas can provide opportunities for recreation, while also offering a refuge to wildlife with diminishing habitat in our increasingly built-up world.

He moved to Seattle in 2011 for a job in renewable energy with DNV GL, where he works today as a principal project manager performing technical reviews of wind and solar energy projects for mergers and acquisitions. He enjoys working at the intersection of engineering, technology, logistics and finance. During weekends and days off, he has gotten to know the PNW volcanos, mountains, coasts and forests over hundreds of days and nights spent climbing, backcountry skiing, mountaineering, hiking and backpacking, often within one of Washington’s national parks.

Vineet is thrilled to get involved with Washington’s National Park Fund to help preserve some of the world’s most magnificent wilderness and all the wildlife that call it home.
