U.S. Representative, Washington's 6th District
Honorary Board of Directors
When it came to protecting our most precious outdoor spaces, it wasn’t about Democrats or Republicans, but about Washingtonians.
Derek Kilmer serves as the United States Representative of Washington’s 6th Congressional District.
As someone who grew up on the Olympic Peninsula, he knows the important role that natural resources play in our region, and is committed to protecting our waters and improving the health of our forests. It’s part of why he helped found the Puget Sound Recovery Caucus to bring increased focus and attention to the cleanup work that needs to be done to restore our region’s waters.
He has been named a Friend of the National Parks award from the National Parks Conservation Association. Derek and his wife Jennifer live in Gig Harbor with their daughters Sophie and Tess and their Australian Shepherd Truman.
