and Olympic National Parks
For more information please contact:
Community Engagement Manager
Fireside Circle events are NOT fundraising events – they bring together people who care about Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks for a fun and engaging experience. Together, we learn more about challenges the parks face, work that these tireless rangers are carrying out, and what’s ahead. Hikes, ranger walks, or other outings are often incorporated. And, we enjoy great food, wonderful company, and comfortable lodging in these beautiful places.

North Cascades National Park Fireside Circle at Freestone Inn
Friday June 2 through Sunday June 4, 2017
Members of the WNPF Board of Directors invite you to join them for a Fireside Circle gathering at the Freestone Inn, Friday June 2 through Sunday June 4! Nestled in the Methow Valley, the Freestone Inn is a luxurious escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday cares – one of the many reasons we love to visit the national parks in our beautiful state. Though this Fireside Circle will focus on North Cascades National Park, you may bump into some other park representatives while you there, as well as the majority of the WNPF board of Directors! This year’s North Cascades Fireside Circle gathering will coincide with the annual WNPF Board Retreat.
An Evening on the Rooftop, a Fireside Circle at the Holiday Inn Express in Sequim
Saturday, June 17, 2017 | 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Please join us at this special Fireside Circle hosted by Bret and Trisha Wirta and sponsored by the Olympic National Park Liaison team at Washington’s National Park Fund. At this event, you will enjoy a beautiful evening on the rooftop. Bill Baccus, a Scientist at Olympic National Park, will discuss the Shrinking Glaciers project underway in Olympic. And you’ll have the opportunity to mingle with honored guest Sarah Creachbaum, Superintendent of Olympic National Park, while enjoying the musical stylings of WNPF Board Member and pianist, Jeremy Gordon. We will also introduce a very important and special guest: President George Washington!
Community Fireside Circles
Evening Fireside Circles are also hosted locally in the community. Whether you bring a group of neighbors, family and friends together for an evening in your home, or host a larger group somewhere in your community, Washington’s National Park Fund will work with you to iron out the details. We’re available to provide the latest news coming out of the parks and share new videos about projects that are underway. Interested in hosting? Let us know!
