Background and Mission
Washington's National Park Fund raises private support to deepen the public's love for, understanding of, and experiences in Mount Rainier, North Cascades and Olympic National Park.
"Washington's National Park Fund is the official nonprofit partner supporting Mount Rainier,
North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks; together, we're ensuring the preservation of natural
beauty, cultural heritage, and continued enjoyment for all."
Washington's National Park Fund was founded in 1993 by a group of passionate parks people including Governor Dan Evans and Melinda Gates. Thanks to their vision, the Fund is able to raise much needed funding for Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks. Over the past six years, more than $2 million has been distributed.
Washington's National Park Fund (Tax ID #01-0869799) is committed to financial accountability for both our donors and park partners. All contributions remain in Washington State to support programs and projects in Mount Rainier, North Cascades and Olympic National Parks. The Fund is governed by a volunteer board of directors, with an Executive Director serving as staff leader.
